If you are looking for a garden building then the chances are you have already come across manufacturers using a panel material referred to as SIPS (Structural Insulated Panel System) in the manufacture and construction of their garden buildings. The SIPS panel system has been in commercial use for over 60 years and used in the construction of homes and only more recently in the form of garden buildings.
When it comes to having a home garden room built its crucial that the project is taken care of by qualified professionals, especially when working with SIP Panels.
Failure to complete the project to the required standards can lead to your dream project falling short of your expectations. A common problem you will find with poor installation is leaks. If the structure hasn’t been sealed off properly, water will start to leak into the room and could cause damp and mould to form, or worse, water damage can also compromise the structure, make it unsafe and reduce it's lifespan.

As is clear from the image at right, the design approach from Castle Garden Rooms is radically different from the outset.
Built on a concrete raft, Castle Garden Rooms use a lightweight galvanised steel frame - so straight away you enjoy the benefits of a structure that will last for 75 years or more. This method also offers greater versatility when it comes to design, a SIPs building for example cannot carry the load of a sedum roof, nor readily carry solar panels or gym equipment - a Castle Garden Room can.
The steelwork is insulated with a minimum 100 mm mineral wool, externally boarded with a waterproof, breathable membrane and then clad in your choice with minimal maintenance aluminum cladding. Internally there is an additional layer of 50 mm insulation, finished using a foil-backed plasterboard.
Floors and roofs are insulated and both can be load-bearing so a Castle Garden Room can be designed to suit even the most demanding of requirements.

Pedigree and Background
White Rock Construction
Castle Construction, as was, is undergoing a rebranding exercise changing its name to reflect a move up-market to projects which mirror recent trends to work in the luxury market.
Scott's (right) background stands him in good stead having managed large civil engineering projects in this move towards larger, more complex projects.
Castle Garden Rooms came about as a reuslt of Rebecca's (left) vision of realising a gap in the market for garden rooms offering significant advantages over so called log buildings and SIPs structures. A husband and wife effort at first, Castle Garden Rooms is now a stand-alone business in its own right.
